Help & FAQ

Everything you need to know about using Listroh.

👋

Creating an Account

Open the app and tap Register on the auth screen. You can sign up with either an email address or a phone number.

  • Email: Enter your username, email, and a password (min 6 characters). We'll send a verification email — click the link to activate your account.
  • Phone: Enter your username and phone number in international format (e.g. +91XXXXXXXXXX). We'll send a 6-digit code via SMS — enter it to verify instantly.

Check your spam or junk folder first - our emails come from noreply@listroh.app and some inboxes filter them automatically.

If it's not there, go to Settings → Email Verification → Resend. Wait a minute before trying again as emails can occasionally be delayed.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on Listroh. If we become aware that a user is under 13, their account will be removed.

Yes. If you registered with a phone number, you can add an email address later by going to Settings → Add Email Address. This lets you also log in with email and password in addition to phone OTP.

🔑

Logging In

On the login screen, enter your email address or phone number — Listroh detects which one you're using automatically.

  • Email: Enter your email and password, then tap Login.
  • Phone: Enter your phone number, tap Send Code, then enter the 6-digit SMS code.

Yes. Once you log in, Listroh keeps your session active so you don't need to log in every time you open the app. Your session is restored automatically on the next launch.

Phone users are automatically logged in immediately after OTP verification — no extra steps needed.

Tap Forgot password? on the login screen. Enter your email address and we'll send a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it — the email comes from noreply@listroh.app.

Note: password reset only applies to email accounts. If you registered with a phone number, you log in via SMS code and there is no password to reset.

You need to click the verification link in the email we sent when you registered. Check your spam folder for an email from noreply@listroh.app.

If you've lost the email, go to Settings → Email Verification → Resend to get a new one.

Creating Lists

Tip: There are two types of lists on Listroh — Normal lists (any number of items, private only) and Top 10 lists (exactly 10 ranked items, can be published to the global feed).

Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen or tap New List in the sidebar menu. A sheet will open with two tabs — Normal and Top 10.

  • Normal list: Add a title, description, and any number of items.
  • Top 10 list: Add a title, pick a category and sub-category, then rank exactly 10 items from #1 to #10.

Tap Create when you're done. The list is saved to your My Lists page.

  • Normal lists — personal, private. Can have any number of items. Good for personal ranking notes, watchlists, or things to try. Cannot be published to the global feed.
  • Top 10 lists — exactly 10 ranked items. Can be submitted for review and, if approved, published to the global feed where the community can discover, save, and favorite them.

Yes, as long as it has not been submitted for review. Open My Lists, find the list, and tap the edit (pencil) icon.

Once a list is In Review or Published, editing is locked. If your list was rejected, you can edit and resubmit it.

Yes. Tap the delete (trash) icon on any list in My Lists that is not currently under review. Published lists can also be deleted from your profile page.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Tags & Categories

When creating a Top 10 list you can select up to two tags — a primary category and an optional sub-category.

For example: Entertainment (primary) → Movies (sub-category). Tags help users discover your list when filtering the global feed.

Listroh has 12 primary categories, each with their own sub-tags:

  • 🎬 Entertainment — Movies, TV Shows, Anime, Documentaries, Streaming, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi
  • 🎵 Music — Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Electronic, R&B, Metal, Indie
  • Sports — Football, Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, Formula 1, Baseball, Boxing, Olympics
  • 💻 Technology — AI, Gadgets, Software, Gaming, Apps, Cybersecurity, Programming, Startups
  • 🍕 Food & Drink — Restaurants, Street Food, Desserts, Cocktails, Vegan, Fast Food, Coffee, World Cuisines
  • ✈️ Travel — Asia, Europe, Americas, Africa, Middle East, Beach, Adventure, Budget Travel, Luxury
  • 📚 Books — Fiction, Non-Fiction, Mystery, Self-Help, Biography, Fantasy, History
  • 🎮 Gaming — PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Mobile, RPG, FPS, Strategy, Indie Games
  • 👗 Fashion — Streetwear, Luxury, Sneakers, Accessories, Vintage, Athleisure
  • 🌿 Lifestyle — Health, Fitness, Mindfulness, Productivity, Home Decor, Finance, Education
  • 🚗 Cars & Bikes — Supercars, SUVs, EVs, Motorcycles, Classic Cars, Off-Road, Trucks
  • 🔬 Science — Space, Biology, Physics, Climate, Medicine, Psychology, Engineering

Not while the list is under review or published. If your list is rejected, you can edit the tags before resubmitting. If you want to change tags on a published list, you would need to delete and recreate it.

🚀

Submitting for Review

A Top 10 list must be complete before you can submit it — all 10 items must be filled in and the title must not be empty.

  1. 1Open My Lists and find your Top 10 list.
  2. 2Make sure all 10 items are filled in.
  3. 3Tap the Submit button on the card.
  4. 4The list moves to In Review status.
  5. 5Our team reviews it and approves or rejects it.
  6. 6If approved, it appears on the global feed.

The Submit button only appears when your Top 10 list is complete — all 10 items filled in with a non-empty title. If any item is blank the button won't appear.

Also check that you are on a Top 10 list — Normal lists cannot be submitted for publication.

If your list is rejected you'll see a red message on the card explaining the reason. Common reasons include:

  • Content that violates our community guidelines
  • Items that are blank or low quality
  • Misleading or inaccurate title
  • Wrong category selected

You can edit the list to address the issue and tap Submit again to resubmit it for review.

There is no hard limit on the number of lists you can submit. However, submitting low-quality or repetitive lists may result in rejection or account action.

Review Process

We aim to review all submissions within 24–72 hours. During high volume periods it may take a little longer. The status on your list card will update automatically when a decision is made.

Lists are approved if they:

  • Have a clear, descriptive title
  • Contain all 10 genuine, non-blank items
  • Are in the correct category
  • Do not contain hate speech, spam, misinformation, or adult content
  • Are original — not a direct copy of another published list

Yes. The status badge on your list card updates automatically — from In Review to either Published (green) or showing a red rejection message with the reason. Open the app to check the latest status.

🌍

Global Feed

The Global Feed shows all approved Top 10 lists from creators across Listroh. It's the main discovery screen — scroll, filter by category, search by keyword, and sort by recency or popularity.

Below the search bar you'll see a row of category tags. Tap any tag to filter the feed. Tap All Tags at the end of the row to open a full tag picker with all 12 categories and their sub-tags — you can search within it too.

Below the category tags there is a sort row with three options:

  • Recent — newest lists first (default)
  • Most Favorited — lists with the most ❤️ favorites
  • Most Saved — lists saved by the most users

Yes — a preview of the global feed is visible on the first screen of the app before you log in. You can browse list titles and the first two items. To see full lists, save them, or follow creators you need to create an account.

❤️

Saving & Favoriting

  • Favorite (❤️) — shows your appreciation for a list. The creator sees the count go up. It does not add the list to your collection.
  • Save (🔖) — adds the list to your Added Lists tab so you can find it easily later. Saved lists show a count so creators can see how many people have saved their work.

Tap the Added tab in the bottom navigation bar. All lists you have saved appear here. Tap any card to open the full list. Tap Remove to unsave it.

👥

Following Creators

Tap Follow on any list card in the global feed, or visit a creator's profile page and tap Follow there. The button changes to Following to confirm.

To unfollow, tap Following again.

Go to your Profile tab and tap the Following count. This opens the list of creators you follow. Tap any name to visit their profile.

👤

Your Profile

Go to the Profile tab and tap Edit Profile. You can update your:

  • Profile photo (chosen from your gallery)
  • Bio (up to 120 characters)
  • Header colour
  • Email address (if you registered with a phone)

Username changes are not currently supported. Your username is set when you create your account and is permanent. We may add this feature in a future update.

Your profile page — username, avatar, bio, and published lists — is public and visible to all logged-in users. Your email address and phone number are private and never shown to other users.

⚙️

Settings

Tap the sun/moon icon in the top-right corner of the app bar from any screen, or go to Settings → Appearance → Dark Mode. Your preference is saved automatically.

Go to Settings → Delete Account, or visit listroh.app/delete-account. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your lists, saves, and profile data.

Open the sidebar menu (☰ top left) and tap Log Out at the bottom. You'll be taken back to the login screen.

Common Issues

Check your internet connection first. If you're online but the feed still doesn't load, pull down on the screen to refresh. A cached version of the feed will show while offline so you can still browse previously loaded lists.

After tapping Submit, the list status changes to In Review. If you don't see this, close the app fully and reopen it — the status syncs automatically on launch. If it still shows Draft, check that you have a stable internet connection and try again.

SMS codes can occasionally be delayed by up to 60 seconds. If you still haven't received it:

  • Make sure the phone number is in the correct international format (e.g. +91XXXXXXXXXX for India)
  • Tap Resend on the verification screen
  • Check you have good mobile signal — no signal means the SMS won't arrive

After uploading a new photo, close and reopen the app to clear the image cache. If the photo still doesn't appear, try uploading again — make sure the image is a standard JPEG or PNG and under 5MB.

Try these steps in order:

  1. 1Close the app completely and reopen it.
  2. 2Check for an update in the Google Play Store.
  3. 3Restart your phone.
  4. 4If the issue persists, contact us at support@listroh.app with a description of what happened.
